PURPOSE:To make it possible to reduce cost and an occupied space, and simplify pipings, by substituting a single oil separator for conventional dual oil separators connected through pipings to a gas chamber on suction side and an atmospheric gas chamber on back side. CONSTITUTION:A leaked oil in a gas chamber 10 on suction side and an atmospheric gas chamber 12 on back side is communicated through respective pipings 24 and 25 to a single oil separator 15. Orifices 26 and 27 are arranged in the pipings 24 and 25, respectively, so as to adjust the leaked oil and flow of suction gas and always hold pressure differential among the gas chamber 10 on suction side, the atmospheric gas chamber 12 on back side and the oil separator 15. The leaked oil and flow of suction gas are always directed to the oil separator 15, and oil separated in the oil separator 15 is returned to an oil tank 16, while separated gas is returned to a suction side of an initial stage impeller. In this manner, a single oil separator is substituted for conventional dual oil separators, thus reducing cost and an occupied space and simplifying pipings.
