The invention relates to a semi-automatic machine fitted with devices: studded chains 4, 4% for driving the paper, circular cutters 10, 10% for cutting off the left-hand and right-hand margins, guillotine blades for transversely guillotining the printouts. An electric motor 1 drives the advancement of the paper, the rotation of the margin-cutting cutters and, operating in synchronism with the advancement of the paper, a device which makes it possible to stop this paper under the guillotine at the exact place in which it is to be cut. This interchangeable device called a program cassette comprises an internal chain whose length is the same as that of the printout to be cut. This program cassette which stops the paper also allows its advancement using a control available to the operator. <IMAGE>
