PURPOSE:To control a metal ring band simply and with good workability and high accuracy by a method in which a reference band is wound round a face plate side wall to peripheral length, a difference from the reference peripheral length of a side wall is computed while setting up the inner peripheral length of the metal ring band corresponding to said difference. CONSTITUTION:The side of a face plate 1 to be tightly bound is wound round by the reference band 2 adhering closely on a side wall and having reduced resistance due to sliding friction while the peripheral length of the face plate side wall is measured by a sensor 3. A difference of said measured length from the premeasured reference peripheral length of the side wall is displayed on the memory operation display part 4. Said difference is divided into several zones while performing projection molding by using a metal mold corresponding to the zone which corresponds to the numerical value displayed on the display part. Thereby, even when the peripheral length of the face plate side wall varies, the metal ring band can be controlled simply as well as with good workability and high accuracy corresponding to said variety. |
