PURPOSE:To readily and surely connect a strap and a lug of a plate by forming a hole or cutout in a lug of a plate, forming a lug engaging hole in a strap, engaging the lug of corresponding plate in each engaging hole, and press-connecting the strap and the lug of the plate by pressing them from the outside. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of holes 6 are previously formed in lugs 4a-4e of anode plates 1a-1e and lugs 5a-5d of cathode plates 3a-3d. A lead alloy anode strap 8 having lug engaging holes 7a-7e which can engage lugs 4a-4e of anode plates 1a-1e is made by casting. A lead alloy cathode strap 9 having lug engaging holes which can engage lugs 5a-5d of cathode plates 3a-3d is made by the same way. The lugs 4a-4e of the anode plate 1a-1e are engaged in the lug engaging holes 7a-7e of the anode strap 8. The lugs 5a-5d of the cathode plates 3a-3d are engaged in the engaging holes of the cathode strap 9. By pressing, the inside of the lug engaging hole is press-connected to the lug of the plate. |
