Change-over device for a motor vehicle manual transmission

A change-over device is proposed, by means of which a manual transmission usual in motor vehicles can be converted into an automatic transmission. The change-over of the gears is performed by at least one automatic drive unit with servomotor, which acts on the shift lever (13), moveable in two directions. The drive may be designed as a crank drive, spindle drive or cam disc drive. The servomotors are controlled on the basis of an electrical circuit arrangement which, making allowance for the vehicle speed and the characteristic data of the drive engine, determines the optimum shift position for the manual transmission and emits corresponding actuating signals to the servomotors. <IMAGE>
