PURPOSE:To prevent the gas instant type water heater from an accident by a method wherein the operation of a water heater is stopped by the detection of the same direction rotating signal for a damper exceeding specified time. CONSTITUTION:A target position signal D outputted from a hot water supplying temperature control device (b) is compared with a present position signal F outputted from a position detector 11 in a comparison circuit (d) correspond to the required fan damper position determined by the hot water supplying temperature control device (b). Based on the result of the comparison, the required damper position is adjusted by the positive rotation of a motor 9. Otherwise, a normal rotation signal H or reverse rotation signal I given to the gear motor 9 is detected by a driving detecting circuit, the running time of the normal rotation signal H or reverse rotation signal I given to the gear motor 9 is compared with previously designated safety time. At the decision that the former is larger than the latter, a stopping signal J is generated from a motor stopping circuit, then the gear motor 9 is stopped. Further, the combustion is cut off with a combustion stopping circuit, an alarm is generated with an alarm circuit. |
