PURPOSE:To easily install a tank in a ship body, by building the ship body to leave the end of its hold open, half submerging the ship body in the sea, floating the tank on the sea, guiding the tank on a sliding guide on the ceiling of the hold to two the tank into it, and conjoining the tank to the ship body. CONSTITUTION:A ship body 2, which is built to leave one end of its hold 1 open and provide no cross bulkhead therein, is launched and half submerged. A tank 3 floated on water is towed into the hold 1 by the cable 7 of a winch 6 on the ship body 2 while a projection on the top of the tank 3 is slid in a guide recess on the ceiling of the hold. The protrusion of the bottom of the tank is engaged in the recess of the floor of the hold 1 to conjoin the tank to the ship body 2. The tank is thus easily installed in the ship body.
