To manufacture reinforced corrugated cardboard for use as a packaging container, one face of a core liner [A] which has been corrugated in a corrugater [2] is adhered to a side liner [B]. There is then applied to the corrugated core liner [A] firstly an aqueous solution of corn starch, by means of a coating apparatus [4], and secondly a reinforcing agent [D], by means of an applicator [5]. Another side liner [C] is then adhered to the corrugated core liner [A]. Score lines are formed in the resulting corrugated cardboard, by means of a scorer apparatus [7], before the reinforcing agent [D] has hardened. |
