PURPOSE:To transmit accurately a meassage from a caller to a called party by providing a multi-channel tape recorder to a telephone exchange side and recording the message from the caller to the tape recorder so that the called party listens to an optional message after reproduction. CONSTITUTION:When the called party observes a display on a display device 8 of the own telephone set 6, recognizes a call coming during his absence or while his telephone set is busy, and performs another specific predetermined dialing, then this information is transmitted to a microprocessor 3 via a line 13. The microprocessor 3 gives a prescribed command successively to an exchange main body 2 so as to connect a talking line 10 of the telephone set 6 of the called party to a reproducing output terminal of the tape recorder 4 and outputs a prescribed command signal as well so that the tape recorder 4 is driven in the reproducing mode. Thus, the exchange main body 2 is operated so as to connect the talking line 10 to the reproducing output terminal of the tape recorder 4, and the tape recorder 4 is brought into the reproducing mode, allowing the called party to listen easily to the message from the caller addressed to the own telephone set 6 after reproduction. |
