PURPOSE:To widen band width of luminance signals and minimize influences of amplitude modulated noise and time axis fluctuation by time compressing the luminance signal and horizontal and vertical synchronizing signals in the same ratio, time compressing chroma signal in larger ratio and recording the luminance signal and chroma signal in time division multiplex. CONSTITUTION:Not only ordinary composite video signal, time division multiplex signal is also inputted to an input terminal 24. At the time of recording of color under system, switches 45, 46 are connected to black circle side, and at the time of time division multiplex recording, they are connected to white circle side. When recording of color under system, a color killer 27 and an AFM killer 47 transmit the signal and when recording of time division multiplex, cut off the circuit. Frequency of vertical synchronizing signal of the time division multiplex signal is equal to that of color under, and pulse width is compressed sometimes. When ratio of time compression is above 2/3, the vertical synchronizing separation circuit 19 does not make malfunction. Accordingly, rotation of drum motors 9 in both systems becomes the same. |
