<p>PURPOSE:To enhance desulfurization efficiency, by supplying inorg. chloride or hydrochloric acid generating HCl-gas by heat decomposition or the reaction with steam into a furnace while supplying a Ca-containing absorbent into the furnace held in a specific temp. range. CONSTITUTION:A mixture consisting of fine coal and primary air for transporting fuel is supplied into a furnace from a burner 7 provided to the central part of a secondary combustion air supply port 6. Combustion is performed while the aqueous solution of inorg. chloride such as MgCl2 or hydrochloric acid stored in a tank 13 is supplied into the furnace from a nozzle 12 to generate HCl-gas. A Ca-containing SOx-absorbent such as CaCO3 is supplied into the furnace in a temp. range of 900-1,300 deg.C from a nozzle 10. The HCl-gas is present in the combustion gas within the furnace in a low concn. and there is no problem of the furnace corrosion caused by HCl-gas and high desulfurization efficiency can be obtained.</p> |
