PURPOSE:To enable a beginner to perform error processing and maintenance processing speedy and surely by outputting various contents by voices in the self- diagnosis mode of a transaction processor equipped with a self-diagnosis part. CONSTITUTION:A mode switch 1 is turned to the self-diagnosis mode to start a self-diagnosis routine. When a start key 8 is depressed, a diagnosis flag in a built-in RAM is turned to ''1'' and the existence of recording paper in a printer is judged. If there is no paper, a message such as ''Is recording paper left?'' is outputted. Then the paper is fed and an end key 9 is depressed. When the paper is still left, a bus key 10 is depressed and the input of a responsible person code is judged. When the code is not inputted, a message demanding the input is outputted by a voice. Subsequently, the mode switch 1 is turned to another mode, i.e. a registration, inspection or accurate calculation mode, and self-diagnosis of each mode is executed. If an error or a trouble exists, a voice message corresponding to the error or trouble is outputted. Thus, the beginner also can perform processing easily, rapidly and surely. |
