PURPOSE:To simplify the structure of a locating device and to make the device small sized by using an arm contacting the side of a box-shaped article while rotating, and an arm sliding along the lower surface of a top plate. CONSTITUTION:After a pallet 3 is stopped by a stopper 4 to stop a box-shaped article 2, a side arm 6 set at a specified position on a base 5 is rotated with the base 5 to be brought into contact with the side of the box-shaped article 2, thereby horizontally locating the article. In case of longitudinally and vertically locating the article, fingers 7 mounted on the base 5 are advanced to be brought into contact with the inside of the top plate 2a of the box-shaped article 2, and the box-shaped article 2 is lifted up several mm. along the taper surfaces 7a of the fingers 7. At this time, a back-up 8 opposed to the base 5 is advanced to complete locating the article longitudinally to the height. In such simple arrangement, an article can be located correctly. |
