PURPOSE:To provide a magnet alloy having high saturation magnetization, residual magnetic flux density and coercive force by incoporating a specific amt. of Be in a specifically composed R-Co magnet alloy. CONSTITUTION:Be is incorporated at 0.01-5wt% in an R-Co magnet such as RCo5, R2 (Co, Cu, Fe)17, R2(Co, Cu, Fe, M)17 or the like. The RCo5 magnet alloy consists of 24-40wt% 1 or >=2 kinds of REM including Y and the balance Co and the R2(Co, Cu, Fe)17 magnet alloy consists of 20-40wt% 1 or >=2 kinds of REM including Y, <=15wt% Cu, <=30wt% Fe, and the balance Co. The R2(Co, Cu, Fe, M)17 magnet alloy consists of 20-40wt% 1 or >=2 kinds of REM including Y, 0.5-15wt% Cu, 5-30wt% Fe, <=5wt% M (in total of 1 or >=2 kinds among Zr, Ti, Nb, etc.) and the balance Co. |
