PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of the solar heat collector by a method wherein a fin made of a shape memory material is closely fixed to a heat collecting tube placed on a line passing through the focussing point of a parabolically surfaced troughlike concave mirror and is made to store a configuration pattern according to which the fin lies parallel or normal to the optical axis of the mirror when the temperature of the fin becomes higher or lower than a predetermined value. CONSTITUTION:The heat collecting tube 2 is so set that it comes to lie at a position on a line passing through the optical axis A of the parabolically surfaced troughlike concave mirror. The tube 2 is sealed within a glass pipe 3 and the fin 4 made of a shape memory material is closely fixed to the tube 2. The fin 4 is made to store the configuration pattern according to which the fin comes to the fin comes to lie parallel to the optical axis A of the concave mirror when the temperature of the fin 4 becomes higher than the predetermined value but it comes to extend normal to the optical axis A when the temperature thereof becomes lower than the predetermined value. Thus, when the direct sunlight is obtained, the fin 4 comes to lie parallel to the optical axis A so that the collection of the sunlight by the concave mirror is not obstructed but when otherwise, the fin is held stretched to thereby receive the sunlight in a scattered condition. |
