摘要 PURPOSE:A liquid crystal composition having high-speed responce ability in a low-temperature range, and low variation in threshold voltage, containing a specific phenylcyclohexane liquid crystal, biphenylcyclohexane ester liquid crystal, and biphenylcyclohexane liquid crystal. CONSTITUTION:The desired liquid crystal composition containing (A) preferably 10-60wt% phenylcyclohexane liquid crystal shown by the formula I (R1 is alkyl), (B) 5-40wt% biphenylcyclohexane ester liquid crystal shown by the formula II(R2 is alkyl), (C) 10-50wt% biphenylcyclohexane liquid crystal shown by the formula III (R8 is alkyl), and, preferably (D) a phenylcyclohexane ester liquid crystal shown by the formula IV (R4 is alkyl), or (E) a terphenyl liquid crystal shown by the formula V (R5 is alkyl) in a weight ratio of the component A:B= (95:5)-(20:80) and in a weight ratio of the component A:C=(90:10)-(10:90). USE:Useful for display device using dynamic drive method.
