PURPOSE:To obtain a satisfactory print with a relatively low voltage by impressing a voltage between the conductive ink put into an ink container and recording paper and atomizing the ink thereby obtaining the electrostatically charged ink mist to be stuck on the recording paper on which an electrostatic latent image is formed. CONSTITUTION:Conductive ink 2' is obtd. by removing impurities from the ink and adding an inorg. salt such as sodium salt or potassium salt thereto. An electric power source 8' is connected between an electrode 7' disposed on an ink container 1 and the ground, and a rotary support 9 is grounded as well. A voltage is impressed between the ink 2' in the container 1 and the support 9, and the ink 2' is electrostatically charged to a single polarity. The ink 2' is excited by an ultrasonic oscillator 6 and is atomized. The atomized ink is suspended in the space part 11 in the container 1. The electrostatically charged conductive mist is run into a duct 3 by the operation of a pump 4 and sticks on electrostatic recording paper 10 in window 5, by which the electrostatic latent image on said paper is developed. The generation of uneven printing is thus made difficult and the good chromaticity is obtd. |
