INITIALIZATION OF INK FOUNTAIN FOR PRINTING MACHINE

PURPOSE:To achieve the initialization of an ink fountain accurately with a simple operation by operating ink fountain adjusters according to a pattern indicating the position of stopping the adjusters by a proper cutting out based on a pattern area rate information of a printing plate. CONSTITUTION:The pattern area rate of a printing plate 28 is measured with a pattern area rate meter 26 for each ink supply area of an ink fountain adjuster 14 and a magnetic card 32 recording a data from a magnetic card reader 30 is outputted. The card is read out with a pattern paper generator 34 to obtain a pattern paper 38 by cutting out properly. The pattern paper 38 thus obtained is fixed on an ink fountain frame and then, the ink fountain adjuster 14 is brought into contact with the bent end rim of the pattern paper according to the indication thereof by cutting out to initialize an ink fountain.
