The correctness of the handling of a timer (3) arranged as a taximeter by the driver of a vehicle provided with such a timer (3) which can be set on or off, for example a taxi or the like, may be controlled in a simple way by controlling on the passenger side the set-on duration of the timer (3) and any modification of the loading state of the vehicle and by time-recording derived signals. Such recording enables to know undeniably if the timer (3) was set on during a trip with the vehicle occupied. |
