In the case of a multiple-part trunk piston for combustion engines the piston head (1) is fixed to an aluminium piston bottom section (3) by way of expansion bolts (2). The expansion bolts (2) act by way of their bolt head (4) on the piston head (1) and are connected at their other end to the piston bottom section by way of a threaded sleeve (5). In order to prevent cracks in the piston bottom section (3) in the threaded connection between threaded sleeve (5) and piston bottom section (3), the threaded sleeve (5) has an annular recess (6) at its end remote from the piston head. <IMAGE>
