PURPOSE:To measure easily and safely a corona discharge current by providing an insulating means and a ground member on a conductive supporting body, grounding a photosensitive body at the time of copying, removing the ground member at the time of a measurement, and inserting an ampere meter. CONSTITUTION:A photosensitive drum 3 is constituted of a photosensitive body layer 3a, conductive supporting bodies 3b, 3c, an insulator 15 for insulating them, and a short bar 18 for short-circuiting the conductive supporting bodies 3b, 3c. At the time of a copying operation, the short bar 18 is fixed with a screw, the supporting bodies 3b, 3c are connected electrically, and the drum 3 is grounded through a shaft 2, a bearing supporting body 1, etc. At the time of measuring a discharge current, the short bar 18 is removed, and an ampere meter is inserted between the conductive supporting body 3b and a grounded frame 20. Therefore, a corona discharge current is measured easily and safely. |
