PURPOSE:To continue the smooth operation of a device, by switching automatically a battery to an Li battery when the capacity of the battery runs short in the electronic device using an NiCd battery. CONSTITUTION:When a power switch 4 is turned on in the state where an NiCd battery 9 is charged, the electric power of the battery 9 is supplied to each part because the voltage of the battery 9 is higher than the cathode voltage of a diode D1. Simultaneously with a rapid drop of the voltage of the battery 9, the battery is switched to an Li battery 10 automatically so that the battery 10 supplies the power to each part of the device through a diode D2. Thus, the operator is enabled to continue the operation smoothly without interrupting it. |
