PURPOSE:To make a supercharging effect in a short period of time after a control operation for supplying of exhaust gas is performed for making a cooperative operation or a change-over operation between a high speed turbo supercharger and a low speed turbo supercharger by a method wherein the high speed turbo supercharger has a shorter distance of passage than that of the low speed turbo supercharger. CONSTITUTION:A low speed turbo supercharger 12 operates to supercharge an engine in a range less than the number of rotation Ri corresponding to an intake air volume Qi and intake air flowing in the intake passage 5a is pressurized. When the intake air volume exceeds the intake air volume Qi, an actuator 49 is energized, an exhaust change-over valve 3 and intake change-over valve 8 occupy the positions indicated by imaginary lines, an exhaust passage 2a is closed, exhaust gas is flowed in an exhaust gas passage 2b, an intake gas passage 5a is closed and the intake air is flowed in an intake air passage 5b. |
