<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a centrifugal separator having high durability and earthquake resistance, by a method wherein a hollow barrel is provided to the upper end part of a rotary shaft while a fixed shaft is suspended into the hollow barrel and the rotary shaft is supported by the bearing between the hollow barrel and the fixed shaft. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical hollow barrel 20 is concentrically provided to the upper end part of a rotary shaft 5 while a fixed shaft 22 concentrical to the shaft 5 is suspended into the hollow barrel 20 fron a bearing plate and the rotary shaft 5 is supported by the bearing 24 between the hollow barrel 20 and the fixed shaft 22. In addition, the rotor 30 of a motor formed into a ring plate shape is attached to the upper end of the rotary shaft 5 and the stator of the motor similarly formed into a ring plate shape is attached to the inner surface of the upper surface plate of a bearing box 2. By this mechanism, the distance between the lower part of a shield slab 1 and the lower bearing 24 can be shortened and, because the rotary shaft 5 is supported through the bearings 24, 26 by the fixed shaft 22, vibration is reduced and the life of the bearings becomes long.</p> |
