PURPOSE:To provide amorphous metal short fiber for reinforcing material having bonding strength, and suitable as a composite material to be compounded to concrete, plastics, etc., by providing bent parts at one or both ends of the fiber. CONSTITUTION:The objective amorphous metal short fiber is furnished with the bent parts 2 at one or both ends of the fiber. Preferably, the length of the main body of the fiber (l) is 0.3-50mm., the length (a1, a2) of the bent part 2 is 0.3- 5mm., the length (b) of the short bent part is 0.1-1mm., the length (c) of the short bent part 4 is 1-10mm., the bent angles (alpha1, alpha2) are 90-160 deg., and the bent angle (beta) is 30-130 deg.C.
