PURPOSE:To make lock releasing impossible when necessary, by prohibiting the shift of a hook by whether or not the hook and a handle are to be coupled. CONSTITUTION:A hook member 12 and a handle member 14 are rotatably supported on a pivot 10 of both side plates 9 of a support bracket 7 for a seat back 5. A U-shaped latch member 15 is tightly set to the back upper part of the seat back 5, and in time of locking the seat back 5, it is engaged with a hook 11 of a hook member 12. A lock releasing prohibitive device 21 consists of a working leve 24 and a coupling member 25 coupling the working lever 24 with the handle member 14. A pin 26 of the coupling member 25 is fitted in a long hole 29 of the handle member 14, while a projecting pin 28 is fitted in a hole 30 of the working lever 24. And, with the pin 26, coupling between the handle member 14 and the hook member 12 is released, and the shifting of the hook member 12 is prohibited as occasion demands, thereby making the lock releasing impossible when necessary. |
