PURPOSE:To lower the cost, to rationalize the work, and to save the labor of a computer system, by eliminating the necessity of special switching circuits for identifying processors to hardware so as to make works for setting identifying numbers to individual processors unnecessary and preventing software from being diverted to a nonassigned processor so that the software can be protected. CONSTITUTION:A processor 1 is provided with a battery 2, main memory 1, calendar clock mechanism 3 which receives power supply from the battery 2, and memory 4 which also receives power supply from the battery 2. In the area 5 of the memory 4 processor identifying numbers produced by the calender clock mechanism 3 are stored and processor identifying numbers registered by a system producing program 9 are stored in the area 7 of a recording medium 6. An operating system 10 first reads the processor identifying information of the assigned medium 6 and then reads the processor identifying information from the memory area 5 of the processor 1. When both of the coincide with each other, the system 10 loads the program onto the main memory 11 from the recording medium 6 and, when they do not coincide, performs an error process. |
