PURPOSE:To obtain a still camera of simple constitution which has a superior electronic exposure time setting function by controlling the number of frequency divisions of a frequency dividing circuit which divides the frequency of pulses from a TV synchronizing signal generator. CONSTITUTION:When a release switch 205 is pressed for the photography of an object image, a shaft releasing device 204 opens a shutter 202 and the object image is formed on an image pickup element 203. The element 203 holds a charge storage stage for a shutter release period. A signal from the device 204 is supplied to a gate circuit 209 as well to gate horizontal synchronizing pulses HS of a TV signal from a synchronizing signal generator 210, leading them to the frequency dividing circuit 208. The circuit 208 divides the frequency of the pulses HS by a period corresponding to a time set by an exposure time setter 207 and outputs a trigger pulse to a shutter closing device 206 the set time later to close the shutter 202 and gate 209. Further, the element 203 is controlled through a driving circuit 211 by the signal of the device 206 to put the element 203 in read operation, and a signal corresponding to the incident image is recorded on a recording device 213 through a signal processing circuit 212. |
