PURPOSE:To attain drawing by allowing the operator to observe a drawn pattern and a character, etc. even if a recording head is moved to a home position and specifying optionally the length of paper by utilizing the characteristic of endless rolled paper. CONSTITUTION:The lowermost end data Y in a drawing are always written and held in an Y register 16. When a computer 11 return back the recording head to the home position, the computer 11 outputs only a HOME command to move the recording head from the current position by [-x, Y-x]. Namely, the recording head is moved to the home positions of x-coordinate [0] and y-coordinate [Y]. When a function code (a) is attached, the recording head is moved from the current position by [-x, Y-y-a]. The recording head is advanced by the number of lines and then the page is fed. When the code (a) goes to ''0'', the page is fed at the home position.
