The steering device has steering levers arranged in a fork-like manner on both longitudinal sides of the hub housing. In order to improve the rigidity and handling of the steering levers, they are connected in one piece with a corresponding cross- sectional section to the hub body and in the grip region they have a receptacle which determines the grip position of the thumbs of the user of the steering device.
