The invention relates to a method and a device for producing a pipe bend by centrifugal casting. In the customary methods and devices, varying wall thickness are obtained. In order to achieve uniform wall thicknesses, the following inventive features are employed: A removable centrifugal casting mould, the inner shape of which is the same as the external shape of the bend, is made to revolve. The axis of rotation coincides with the longitudinal centre axis of the bend. The molten material is poured into the mould. After solidification, the mould is opened to remove the blank of the bend. Finally, the blank is machined.
