PURPOSE:To produce a polypeptide resembling interferon by a recombined material, by adding a zinc compound to a medium. CONSTITUTION:In cultivation of a recombined material obtained by cloning a structural gene of interferon, a zinc compound is added to a medium. In this case, an interferon-like polypeptide is a polypeptide similar to interferon derived from a human fibroblast. The zinc compound added is zinc chloride, zinc sulfate, or zinc acetate, and the amount added is about 1mug/ml-10mg/ml. |
