NEW MATERIAL:Anthraquinone compounds of formula I wherein R<1> is amino, hydroxyl ; R<2> is H, Cl, Br, cyano, -SO2R (wherein R is methyl, ethyl, phenyl) ; R<3>, R<4> are each H, amino, hydroxyl, nitro, Cl, Br ; Y is -O-, -S- ; one of X<1> and X<2> is hydrogen and the other is a group of formula II (wherein -Z- is -O-, -S- ; W is phenyl, NR<6>R<7> ; R<5> is H, methyl, ethyl, methoxy, ethoxy, Cl, Br ; R<6>, R<7> are each H, alkyl, alkenyl, aryl, etc.) ; n is 0, 1. USE:Dyes suitable for use in pad dyeing or printing cellulose-contg. fibers red to blue. PREPARATION:An anthraquinone compd. of formula III is reacted with a monohalogenotriazine of formula IV in the presence of an acid acceptor.
