PURPOSE:To contrive to prevent the space to be air-conditioned from the returning of moisture caused by the stopping of a compressor and the useless operation by a method wherein the time setting of a compressor forced operating time is made shorter at the strong wind time than the weak wind time in the operation of an indoor blower. CONSTITUTION:At the starting of operation, when the temperature detected with a temperature sensor 16 is higher than the temperature set in a temperature setting unit 15, a compressor 3 is kept under an operating condition until the room temperature is lowered than the set temperature. During this time, a counter 22 is kept under resetting condition as the output of a transformer 20 is kept at ''H'' level. When the room temperature is lowered than the set temperature, the compressor 3 is stopped. At the cooling operation, when the compressor 3 operation stopping time is continued for long time, the humidity in the space to be air-conditioned is raised, uncomfortableness is felt, further, the returning of moisture is varied by the amount of air flow or an indoor blower 7. At this time, the operation stopping time of the compressor 3 from the the stopping to the starting of forced operating is varied according to the amount of air flow of the indoor blower 7, accordingly, the returning of moisture is restrained at constant level without affected by the amount of air flow, therefore, the space to be air-conditioned can be controlled under feelingly ideal temperature and humidity.
