PURPOSE:To contrive to enhance treatment efficiency by reducing the viscosity of a stock material by suppressing the excessive temp. rising in the treated stock material on one hand while preheating the introduced stock material on the other hand, by skillfully performing heat exchange between the low temp. introduced stock material and the stock material during treatment. CONSTITUTION:A large number of operation pieces 3 each made of a magnetic material or a non-magnetic conductive material is received in a treating container 1 having an inlet and an outlet and random motion is generated in the operation pieces by electromagnetic force based on mutual action with the external moving magnetic field applied to said container 1 by apparatuses 4, 5 to perform the stirring and mixing of the stock material 2 to be treated introduced into the container 1 through the inlet thereof. In this electromagnetic type stirring and mixing apparatus, a stock material introducing pipe 8 is provided in the container 1 so as to be sufficiently deeply protruded thereinto from the same side with the outlet 9 and heat exchange is performed between the low temp. introduced stock material flowed in the pipe 8 and the stock material 2 during treatment flowing therein through said pipe 8. By this method, the viscosity of the introduced stock material is reduced while the excessive temp. rising of the treated stock material is suppressed to enhance treatment efficiency. |
