PURPOSE:To reduce the noise of collision of rollers and the bottoms of teeth, by providing the roller incoming side of each tooth with an elastically deformed part, which comes into contact with the incoming roller to interfere with its incoming to the bottom of the tooth. CONSTITUTION:The chain roller incoming side of each tooth 11 of a sprocket 1 is provided with an elastically deformed part 13, which comes into contact with a chain roller 23 incoming to the tooth, to interfere with the incoming to the bottom 12 of the tooth. Since the roller 23 receives the contact interference of the elastically deformed part 13 and is introduced to the bottom 12 of the tooth 11, the noise of collision of the roller and the bottom of the tooth is reduced. The impact caused at the time of contact of the roller 23 with the elastically deformed part 13 is absorbed by its elastic deformation so that an impact noise is prevented. The noise of engagement of the sprocket 1 and a chain is thus surely reduced. |
