VERTICALLY MAGNETIZED RECORDING HEAD

PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration of the S/N due to an error of track position by forming a linear part and nonlinear parts at both end of the linear part for the section form of a magnetic pole made of a thin film of high permeability at a part close to a recording medium. CONSTITUTION:A convex/concave part 22 is formed at a part of the single side of a nonmagnetic matter 4 by a chemical etching process, etc. A film 6 of high permeability is formed and held between the matters 4 at both sides for adhesion. The wave width l of a nonlinear part 12 is set larger than the wavelength lambda of the signal recorded to the magnetized layer of a recording medium. Therefore the magnetization of the signal recorded at the part 12 of a magnetic polse 5 is recorded with a larger wave than the recording wavelength lambda. As a result, the reproduction is not possible at a linear part 6 although an error arises to the track position. While the signal recorded at the part 6 cannot be reproduced at the part 12 having disturbance larger than lambda. This prevents the S/N deterioration due to an error of track position.
