In the case of linear, plane and spatial constructions which are formed of a plurality of construction elements retained by connections, the problem arises to know how to obtain a multitude of construction forms with relatively few base elements of simple mounting. The answer is given by providing a construction element havig a support (TG) extending along a plane (E) and connected to a covering member (DG) on at least one surface side. It is thus possible with a support construction form to combine many different covering elements, for example from a decorative point of view. To obtain a detachable connection of the construction elements, a notch connection is used which presents certain advantages as to its simplicity and ease of handling, which provides a connection member (VG) with a stop element (HE) intended to be inserted into a notch recess, as well as a casing (G) arranged therethrough. The casing walls (W) form supporting elements (SE) to prevent the connection member (VG) from rotating with respect to the notch recess (RA).
