The invention relates to a language teaching means for learning the structure of a language from morphemes, having a plurality of playing tiles, on the surface of each of which a morpheme is inscribed, so that words, expressions and sentences can be formed by arranging a plurality of tiles in sequence and the way in which they are built up from morphemes is comprehensible. In order to enable associations of content also to be associated in terms of sense and manipulation, it is proposed according to the invention that the tiles used be blocks (1a, 1b, 1c, 1b') of polygonal cross-section which have rotary coupling pieces (3, 4) at their two opposite end faces (2) for the purposes of connection to a further block, the blocks remaining rotatable about their common median longitudinal axis. The remaining polyhedral surfaces of each block are each inscribed with linguistically, characteristically or generically related morphemes. As a result of the three-dimensional arrangement, a spatial allocation of morphemes of related content is achieved. <IMAGE>
