The principle of propulsion is based on the generation of centrifugal forces controlled such that there is a resultant force in a desired direction. A disc is rotatably driven about its central axis and carries eight pairs of swivel arms on pivots circumferentially equi-spaced near its perimeter. - Each arm carries a weight at its end and is swivelled by a drive motor, e.g. one set of weights to the left and the other to the right. The swivel movements is synchronised with rotation of the disc such that all centrifugal forces in other than the desired direction cancel out.
