<p>The process consists of: (a) functionally folding the piece of fabric along a number of transverse lines, and applying successively alternating ascending and descending vertical forces, with formation of transverse pleats in the band; (b) re-pleating the same piece of fabric; and (c) applying heat to each of the compact packets of the same band, obtained by compression resulting from application of forces in opposed directions to the ends of the band.</p> |
