This indicator is characterised by the fact that the inclination of the forks or prongs is transferred by means of linkage or cable or optics or electrics from the lift mast to a marking indicator, into the field of view of the driver, to a display panel in such a manner that the inclination can always be immediately determined and read so that the goods to be transported can in each case be approached in the correct inclination and transported without risk.
