A shut-off valve (110) which can be operated pneumatically comprises a housing which can be clamped in between the end flanges (172, 174) of two pipes (176, 178) and has a passage channel, and an elastically expandable valve body (138) which can be connected to a compressed-gas source and is arranged in the housing in such a manner that, during filling with the compressed gas, it at least partially shuts off the cross-section of the passage channel. The housing is formed by a disc (112) which has a central hole (114) and a radial duct (126) which connects this to the disc circumference. The open end section of the hose-shaped valve body (138) which is closed at one end is constructed as a sealing sleeve (140) which is inserted in the radial channel (126) such that it rests in a sealing terminating manner on the inner wall of said channel, and which is connected to a control valve (170) via a valve head (130) which closes the outer end of the radial channel (126). <IMAGE>
