The invention proposes a process for manufacturing a composite body consisting of a thermoplastic core and a thermosetting outer shell, the thermoplastic core being manufactured in a mould by injection moulding and the join between the thermoplastic and the thermoset being effected by a synthetic resin carrier layer applied to the thermoplastic base body, which synthetic resin carrier layer may have a phenol-resol resin, the thermoset layer of fabric webs being laid upon this synthetic resin carrier layer, but are being taken that the synthetic resin carrier layer, although precondensed, is not yet completely cured and the complete curing of the synthetic resin carrier layer taking place only together with the complete curing of the thermoset layer.
