PURPOSE:To obtain a two-color thermal recording material excellent in color separation and reliability of an image, by a method wherein a metallic salt of a higher fatty acid is incorporated as a color former in each color forming layer, and a wax is used in a low-temperature color forming layer, in a two-color heat- sensitive recording material. CONSTITUTION:A metallic salt of a higher fatty acid is used as a color forming, and an example of the salt is a salt of iron, nickel, cobalt, copper, tin, lead or the like of 12-30C, preferably 16-24C higher fatty acid. An example of the wax used for the low-temperature color forming layer is bees wax, carnauba wax, montan wax, paraffin wax or the like. By using the color former and using the wax in the low-temperature color forming layer, an image excellent in oil resistance and water resistance and clear in color tone of each of the color forming layers can be obtained. |
