摘要 Automobile suspension apparatus which also acts as a variable stabilizer. Since a typical conventional stabilizer mainly makes use of the resilient force derived from torsion bars, the body of a vehicle employing such a stabilizer can be tilted by centrifugal force or side winds, and therefore lacks stability during high-speed running. In other words, the stabilizer acts so as to make riding comfort and running stability contradictory conditions. In order to improve both riding comfort and running stability, the function of a laterally mutual and longitudinally linked suspension apparatus is utilized so that instead of torsion bars two pairs of vibration absorber are used, each of these pairs being constituted by vibration absorbers which are combined so as to expand and contract in the same direction in an interlocked relationship by an interaction using the movement of a liquid, and are installed in the longitudinal and lateral directions as automobile suspension springs. Thus the invention provides a laterally mutual and longitudinally linked suspension apparatus which also acts as a variable stabilizer in which the vehicle height and the degree of anti-rolling of the vehicle body can be adjusted by utilizing either or both of the functions of a laterally mutual and longitudinally linked two-wheel interlocking independent suspension and a four-wheel independent suspension, by changing the interaction due to variations in the fluid pressure.
