A nut for fastening apparatus parts to a support, and occasionally for transmitting electrical current between the apparatus part and the support, is intended for being placed in a groove in the support. The nut consists of a steel plate bent into a U-shape and having two legs 1 with edges folded outwards and abutting the legs, the folded corners of the legs having points 4, and the part 2 of the plate uniting the legs having a threaded hole.
