<p>The outer walls are perforated and the drum is divided lengthwise into two halves which can be displaced relative to each other along two guide frames. Each half is divided crosswise into a number od separate chambers with gaps between them and the whole drum is so mounted that it can be lowered, the lower halves with their contents being dipped into a number of separate tanks filled with treatment liquids, successive rotations and axial shifts allowing multiple treatment to be carried out. Independent loading/unloading of the two halves increases the versatility fo the machine, reduces down-time, and hence increases nett output.</p> |
