The mobile chaff cutter, for towing behind a harversting machine, comprises a primary chaff cutting device consisting typically of rotor and stator with blades. This discharges into a shaft, in which a second, fine cutter system is disposed. This second cutter acts also as an accelerator, discharging or injecting the material through the shaft, typically into a waggon towed alongside. Pref., this sec. cutter is composed of two rotors equipped with teeth and revolving at different speeds. Pref. material for the rotors is polyamide.
