Ultrahigh-frequency load which is almost insensitive, from the point of view of its electrical characteristics, to the variations in energy applied to it. The ultrahigh-frequency load comprises a 3 dB directional coupler 1, one access A1 of one of the conjugate-access pairs A1, A2 of which coupler constitutes the input of the load, and at least two auxiliary loads R2, R3 connected to the accesses A2, A3 of the other conjugate-access pair of the coupler. Such a mounting leads to an automatic stabilisation of the impedance at the input of the ultrahigh-frequency load. Application, in particular, as a measurement load for a high-power generator. <IMAGE>
